Hey TP, Lifted this from a Google search "  Hi markcas,
This my first time on this forum, when I read your post I had to share our experience with TV reception at Teewah beach as I get 8 or 9 crystal clear stations. I presume you mean the 15 km of beach camping at Teewah Beach camping area that we visit 3 or 4 times a year and am going in 2 weeks time I might add.
We have an UHF Phased Array TV Antenna similar to the one Dick Smith sells for about $65, it came with our van, I just bought a Kingray UHF?VHF Masthead Amplifier with Power supply from them and we have not looked back.

Love the place

Mark works high or low I happen to have it up high as the van came with a mast I attach to the draw bar. In windy weather I drop it down to head height and the reception is the same, I think the amplifer boosts to 48db from memory so up or down, close to or far away from the surf is not really an issue.
