Sangean brand?

Anyone had much to do with Sangean items ???
Need a new portable digital radio for dad to listen to at the nursing home as he broke his and most places are selling Sangean gear, but its fawkin expensive...

I've never heard of it...

Thoughts?

Purchased for the exact same reason, problem with DAB is it tends to either work or not, I would try
and borrow a similar radio and try it in his room or see if anyone else is using one. If there is a TV
antenna connection in the room you maybe be able to plug that into the radio.

The radios themselves seem to be good quality though depending on his eye sight and technical ability
he might have problems using it, if he has dementia for instance I would go for a simple to use radio.

love ya work.. hes blind and does everything by touch... so went down to Goodguys/hardly normal/JB and looked around.. Came home with a Panasonic RF--D10
not many places selling portable radios now :(
