How does one do a camper trailer and boat?

After years of blowing up various zodiacs and achilles I'm thinking of going to the dark side. ... aluminium. 

Just got back from 5 weeks on tour and got sick of unloading 2 hardtail mountain bikes, a kayak and the zodiac everytime I stopped for the night from the top of the hard floor. It turns what should be a 2 minute job into a 15 minute workout.
Not going to take the bikes again as the mechanicals get layered in dust and are exposed to too much salt air. 
Kayak can go on the roof of the car and I am considering a 12 foot tinny for the top of the camper.

I love rubber duckies for their stability and relative comfort but hate the cleaning and washing process at after a day or two out.  Thinking a tinny might reduce a bit of work for me.

Anyone got any ideas or advice?

BTW The pioneer already has a winch for the roof that can be used for the boat and my usual outboard is a yamaha 15 but i also have a newish 8 and 30 as well.

Travel in shade, and easier to get the boat close to the water.

I believe Speewa has a boat loader....

Need to keep an eye on GVM.

Thanks all. I reckon a tinny would be a lot easier  (and cheaper) to put on the camper due to its lower height .
Good point GeoffA re the gvm. I dropped into a tip today with my camper in tow. Weighed the cruiser with bugger all in it and was a little shocked (alrhough I kind of expected it). So a roof topper on the car might be out.

Some of the hard floor imports come bundled with a side loader and people seem to often be flogging them off on gumtree so they may be able to be easily modified to suit what your camper.

Must admit the very first time I put my mates boat up it took  me about 10 minutes on my own, while the mongrel sat back and had a beer .
But once you work out what to do, it got quicker .

Looks a lot like the pioneer factory oprion version which ideally would be what i want. As it only requires a pin to be renoved and the boat swings out of the way when not required.  Someone was trying to sell one here in the classifieds here a couple of years ago for $500.  The add has since been removed which is a shame.
I like the portaboat concept but don't need/want another outboard as mine are all too big.

Loved the old bloke in the portaboat video. My current small zodiac takes about 15 minutes to set up. It's the cleaning and loading and unloading everytime i want to set up camp that spoils the fun.

Yeah the factory option is usually the best, just not always the cheapest. I watched their video of their boat loader when doing research but thought them having a rope going to someone out of frame so you couldn't see what they were doing was more than a bit suspicious.

I have a quintrex 370 dart and a 15 Yamaha with a little bulldog fold up trailer all set up on our KK.
I ended up building my own boat loader and out board holder as well as fitting the little bulldog onto the drawbar of the KK. Works well for me. The only issue is housing everything else you need to take to use a boat. Eg safety gear fuel tank battery for sounder fishing gear anchor etc.
All this adds up to space and weight.

This idea has to be adaptable to a camp trailer on crossover I would think. You could leave all the safety gear in the boat with a tonneau cover fitted.

Hey i like it but i don't like price. Good luck to him though.
I reckon i could do sometging with a manual winch, some teflon sliders and couple of wheels on top of the transom that might work just as well.

Funny part is his dolly/drawbar arrangement would be have to be registered as a trailer in Victoria. Any trailer carrying a boat, even a 6x4 has to be registered.

Hey speewa. Points for trying but I've never like boats on top of cars. Call me weird but i reckon if i put a boat up there it would just stay there as id be too lazy/scared to pull it down.
Anyway ive got no room as the RTT is up there  (too lazy to take it off - see my point)

Like one of the videos posted, you need a side loading boat rack so it doesn't affect your hard floor. Build/buy one. How much extra fuel does having a tinny on the roof use?

bloke in my club got done for using his garden trailer that needs no rego to tow his boat. Apparently it became a boat trailer.

Any trailer, no matter how small, will be deemed a boat trailer if you put a boat on it.
I can't remember how small the boat would need to be, before it doesn't apply.
Not sure if there is a smaller than size, at all.
It doesn't have to be a powered boat either.

I've an inflatable row boat, out in the shed.
We could lay it in the bottom of one of those car boot jobbies (with that caster type wheel assembly), and see if any highway patrol or vicroad types bite.

I've got a Finn spindrift cat. Being plastic, lightweight and a cat means it happily sits right way up on the camper's boat rack and can be loaded with the motor, fuel tank, fishing and safety gear. It's only little but how far do you really want to go? Being a cat it does a lot of things well in the ocean too.

I hadn't heard of these either and also just spent the last hour or so checking them out. What a great option for traveling. A total weight of 50-55kg with a 260kg load capacity. Awesome.

By some strange coincidence there were 2 of these at the creek camp site we stayed at over Christmas. Nice little bit of kit, one of the guys had done a lap and a bit with his, he loved it. Both of the guys put the boat on top of the canopy on their cruiser utes and towed a van. They both had the same little bolt together trailers as well. I had to ask if they where mates. One was from WA and the other from Gladstone.

Just be sitting down when you get the price. They are good things but hand made. If you can get onto a tarpon 3.7 they are a composite skiff too. They were renamed Ultralight boats some time ago. I don't know if they are still around. A mate had one and it was quick with a 9.8 on it. I wouldn't leave them right way up on a rack and load them with gear like a plastic hull though.

Just found a link - mine is this 2.4 m model. I have a 6 and a 9.8 which both make it boogy.

You can imagine a 115kg bloke in it - Russian bears on pushbikes has been mentioned by the wife. It's good for taking the kids out for a strap, is bullet proof, and handles the sea. And its only 40 kg - I can carry it like a backpack.

I have also off set the motor to sit behind one hull. This leaves much less leg in the wash and being a touch overpowered the leg would start filling the boat with water once it got going too quick.

Today things progressed a lot. Bought myself a one owner 12 foot toppercraft tinny in very good period condition.  Came with 15 hp yamaha outboard with 10 freshwater run in hours on it (basically brand new). Totally unmarked with all paint still on the prop. Came with original receipt and all manuals.
Also included was an excellent condition tilt trailer, complete with new tyres, a spare and off road jockey wheel. 
The boat came with two removable padded tinny seat, fenders, original wooden oars, two brand new yamaha fuel tanks and fuel lines, compass and spare spark plugs.
It was part of a deceased estate.
All for $1200
the motor alone would be worth way more than that. Didn't know whether to post it here or in have you found a bargain.
