Went and saw Hacksaw Ridge tonight with mum and dad. A true story based on WW2 and the absolutely outstanding efforts of an American medic. If your only going to watch one movie at the cinemas this year make it this one. Mel Gibson is at his best with his directing of this movie, easily as good or better than "When We Were Soldiers". Truely inspiring and insightful at the feats of this truely amazing selfless hero.
Go ahead and watch it, you'll be glad you did. Cheers
The true story of Pfc. Desmond T. Doss (Andrew Garfield), who won the Congressional Medal of Honor despite refusing to bear arms during WWII on religious grounds. Doss was drafted and ostracized by fellow soldiers for his pacifist stance but went on to earn respect and adoration for his bravery
