Greetings from Kinglake Victoria
« on: October 20, 2016, 07:10:58 AM »
Good morning everyone.
We just purchased an AussieSwag Rover LX Series 2 model. Previously we had a Tambo Cooper soft floor camper that we have done some big trips in (Kimberley, Tanami track, Canning stock route, Northwest Qld, various Victorian high county trips). We decided that we wanted a bit more luxury and a quicker set up camper so started doing the homework and settled between the Aussieswag and Kimberly camper.
We also had a budget of $20K. Looked at the Chinese campers with all the bells and whistles but wanted a locally made one with decent backup for spares etc. We plan to do the cape and north Qld next winter (mighty cold in Kinglake in winter).
I plan to do some upgrades over the next few months, more battery power, more LED lighting, hot water system etc.
I unpacked all the annex walls yesterday and found some had never been used, I probably wont use them often either as we tend to do rolling camps and not stay in one place for long periods.
I look forward to gaining some good ideas from this group and meeting new friends.
