This belongs to a very good friend of mine.... it has a very large 460 with attitude in it....C6, manual valve body, ratchet shifter...goes hard for a sled.

Parking cars in  Nagambie in September 17 for the Krankesters Car Show . A Bozo turned up in a Old Stingray  requesting he could park on the Black Top only .  l told him that over there he could see 4 , 64 Stangs that had managed to park on the grass , but if his car wasn't up to it ,,,,,,,,,,  . Here are some very cool old Austins for sale at the Brissy Manheim Auctions.
I believe it is the Rolls Royce donk, 4 gears forward and 4 back.









The round bit on top with the braided hoses is the dizzy cap. Water Proof they are, even has a fold up snorkle.

I used to have one of these, from memory they had a 5 speed box, 1st gear was pretty much a creeper gear, normally you started in 2nd. The motor is a Rolls Royce design but most of them where made under license by Austin. The reason you had the same number of gears in reverse was because the reverse gear was in the rear diff/transfer case, there was a tail shaft from the gearbox to the rear diff/transfer case and from there another one went forward to the front diff. With its four wheel independent suspension it was really comfortable to drive, especially for a short wheelbase unit.
