Ever since seeing a Model A 4x4 hot rodded tray back truck on Fraser once, and having kids I reckoned a 4x4 dual cab version would be cool .
But done in an aged / weathered condition along the lines of this O'l girl .
A close friends father has an old A Model buckboard very similar to your bottom pic. Built it out of parts dragged out of paddocks in the late 70's.
Was his daily driver (his weekender is a beat up E Type Jag...) up until the cops put it off the road a few years ago.
My partner and friend would get dropped off to school sitting on the back and there was even a trip to Phillip Island when they were kids. Couch strapped to the back and a water tank cut in half roped over as a roof...
Had to ditch the tank roof half way as they were getting fumed out.
Up until 10 years ago, every year he'd drive it from Melbourne to the Tamworth county music festival. Took a while....
I'll try and find a pic. There was a feature done on it in a book call Beaut Utes.
