Gordigear camper tents

Any swaggers have first hand knowledge of the Gordigear range of camper tents ?
In the market and looking at the Savannah model

I'm likely to get a Taiga in the near future; from what I've read they are pretty good. In the US one guy had a problem (they're sold in the US, Aus and Europe) and had a lot of help - which he didn't listen to - from the owner (Helmut) and the distributors. Eventually sorted, but what impressed me was the help that he did get.

I've spoken with Helmut, and he sent me samples of the materials used (which I need to take to the saddlery who do all my other canvas work and have a chat about the quality) so I could do the touchy - feely thing. Spent about 20minutes on the phone to him about the tent and options. They are Chinese made, but I think that they are a good quality Chinese spec (although I'm yet to see the quality of the poles)

There is someone else who used one on here, but I can't remember the thread.

Thanks Ed , yeah I like the look of them but just not sure on the quality . Aluminium poles are a good idea as long as they are up to the job . The plastic grips could also be a problem over time with a lot of use .

Hi Adam.

I have the Taiga on my homemade trailer.
No problems in the 18 months we've been using it.No leaks or rips.
Although I did bend 1 of the ally poles.My fault. Bent it back to kinda straight.
The annex roof remains on the tent all the time. Still easy to setup or packup.
We have just spent 3 weeks doing mostly overniters, Innamincka, Wilpena, Alice Springs and back to Brisbane the long way.
No problems at all with the tent. Ice one morning at Wilpena.
