Why is it still in print?
« on: October 03, 2016, 06:25:31 PM »
At a CV park at the moment so I  usually cruise past the laundry and see what browsing material is on offer. Unfortunately all that was there was women's gossip trash and the latest EMG crap, actually not sure what it worse :) Pick  up the 4wdcraption mag thinking there might be something interesting in it given it is a touring edition with 10 trips under $200, not a bad idea. One of their top tips "keep it dry" seems like a good way to keep cost down and make it about family yet of the 7 pictures where people are drinking only one is of the nonalcoholic variety.  Had a giggle at this then flick to the trip out of Perth "Lancelin" nice I think, then I see the picture of the whale shark, think what the, and start to read. Now apparently "the coolest thing you can do near Lancelin is to take a dip in the world heritage listed Ningaloo Reef". Seems they missed the small fact that Ningaloo Reef is over 1000km from Lancelin. Who writes this stuff, some bloke in China getting paid 5 cents per hour? I really can't understand how this mag is still in publication when some mags of far higher quality and journalistic integrity have gone by the wayside?

Yep, they make a few errors. I enjoy the DVD's. The last issue had a huge spelling error in one of the titles to their articles, on about page 5.

Even though I don't buy the magazine, I would think some might want to read it. I am not that presumptuous that I would know what others would want to read either.

It's an advertising brochure that they charge you an arm & a leg to advertise in and to buy.
