He is making his own legend, stealing defeat from the jaws of victory 3 times in a row...

He is 'King of the Mountain'

King 'Fuk-itd'up'

With enough horse power, sheer ignorance and a total lack of respect for your vehicle, you'll get through....

Didn't see that coming.

After reading through these pages of emotional dribble about poor old Wingecup.
I had to go and watch some of the Enforcer's highlights this afternoon.
I had forgotten what real racing looked like.

Can honestly say my interest in V8s faded about the time of his retirement. That and when the Gold Coast and Sydney Olympic Park races turned the sport into the pointless game follow the leader lap after lap.

Long gone are the days of "rubbing is racing", back when Rusty was playing pinball with anyone who came close to him in the belting rain at Oran Park.

These days you have to wake me for the highlights after it's done and dusted. Nothing remotely exciting any more.

I preferred the old days, when they couldn't afford to push their way through.
Passing was done with skill, as any damage to the car meant their day was over.
All the big names would race cleanly, door handle to door handle, all day.
Rubbing is not racing.....just my opinion.....

Some the young guns in it now are pretty good drivers. Guys like Scotty, Chaz and the Giz are good clean, hard but fair drivers. When they get together you can see some good close exciting racing,  unfortunately you always seem to get one of the knobs coming in and pushing his way thru, a particular Volvo driver with a famous last name comes to mind

Yep agree totally all them years Brock, moffat , Johnson , grice etc barely a mirror touched. Ingall just mirrored what the euro tourer gang were doing and with a bit of media hype around the title  "enforcer" to sell the format and way we go with a new acceptance in driving. The Kelly's, tanders and co step it up more to the current level with the brain fart whincup.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

They all need to get back into Formula Fords for a stint, or any open wheeler.

Sounds like you need a fix of sprint car racing Geoff. A night at the speedway for you :D
Sprint cars, wingless' and some solo's. Tight, clean racing with no rubbing, or there's busted bodies and bent wings ;D

Just re-watched the incident.

Scotty definitely didn't slow. Fair call
Whincup jumped on the brakes
Tander was getting held up massively by Whincup instantly redressing on the racing line

Some bits and pieces that are a bit of a mess...

In terms of racing, Tim Harvey and John Cleland were classic door to door bashers, and were completely at each other throats for nearly every race during the BTCC super touring days

Not sure I'd use Giz and the words good clean in the same sentance. Quite a few of his dive bombs under brakes turn messy - although that is improving.

He's become Shane Van Pushbergen at Red Bull.....

He has always been a pusher, hitter of cars in front, with Stone Bros in the ford he was constantly praised by Jim and Ross Stone for hitting cars in the rear.

I remember one race where Jim or Ross were instructing Shane over the radio to " hit him again, hit him again " when he was in behind Craig Lowndes .

The only car he's never ever hit is the safety car, but the year isn't over yet.

Non issue.. petty cash.
"Jack Smith’s father Peter owns the transport company SCT Logistic which The Courier Mail estimates to be worth around $166 million dollars, who were one of the sponsors on the car."
