My scales have a glass top on them, so I may need to borrow some scales...

Layer a few pieces of thick timber on them to spread the load.
Your trailer doesn't look like it would be all that heavy. Can you lift it yourself?
If the scales can hold you, they'd probably hold a light trailer.
Let the weight down gently with the jockey wheel.

Disclaimer:  No claims for broken scales will be considered....and don't let Mrs Jeepers see you do it..... ;D ;D

Good chance another swagger will be buying it...... so no ..... but the thought did cross my mind.  >:D

We have a place here called "WHATEVER" and i'm hoping they can do aball weight check for me, as they do lots of caravan stuff.
If I bust the scales, the ol girl will go off.

I was never really forgiven when I blew up the Dyson vacuum cleaner with a fireball coming out of it. (That's a whole other story)

Can you comfortably lift the trailer by the coupling yourself? If so then hold it up while standing on the scales yourself. Take note of weight. Then weigh yourself and deduct from total. Job Done.

It will if your scales has a capacity of more than you + the trailer ball weight. Or Maybe you could get another set of scales and put a foot on each... and then go through the same process. But whatever you do, make sure you include beer and thongs.  ;)

OK, based on the advice I got, I took the said bathroom scales and placed on level ground.

A flat block of timber and a car stand, lower jockey wheel and swing up, to prove I didn't cheat.

One will note, I took the weight as far forward as I could by turning the tregg on its side.

This is the weight reading including the timber and the car stand @ 70.9kg.
There was still a bit of gear in the front box as well as stuff in the camper itself. By cheating, I reckon I could've got this down to around 65kg and by the same token, poor loading could see you go past your 75kg limit, but you'll work all that out when you get the camper home.

Yeah yeah, the scales could do with a clean.
