l am looking for feed back on Rattle Guns 12v  . l know there are a few Swaggers that use them or at least own them out there . Are they worth the $  ??? ???

Are you talking about corded or cordless?
I done 90% of an engine swap in my 80 with a Hitachi rattle gun.
There where a few bolts (like engine to bell housing) it couldn't undo, but a crack with a breaker bar she was back the gun again.
It held battery really well.
I was surprised on how well it went.

Love my 18V Makita LXT 1/2" impact wrench, works well on wheel nuts.

Yeah I run a ryobi one 18v rattle gun for wheel nuts. Charges of a 12v to 18v charger in the back of the Cruza

Our steel erecters use milwalkie. Seems to do the job ok. Waranty is pretty good. They cop a fair old flogging and seem to stand up to it.
I've used metarbo with no troubles. Same deal, worked em fairly hard erecting steel.

We also use a MILWAUKEE 18V rattle gun, love it. Very powerfull and with a 5amp & 2 x 4amp batteries it runs for ages  :cup:

The Milwaukee is the best I've ever seen. But at $730inc for the tool with 2 x 5a batteries and charger it's not really for hobbyists!

I've got a Snapon 18v. It's brilliant. But for DIY the Millwaukee is the go.

I run all Milwaukee 18v gear on the farm and our Ag Contracting business.

We have two 1/2 " drive Milwaukee rattle guns, the real big one is  900 Nm. A great tool but it's almost to much. (Have snapped wheel nuts like carrots)

The 2nd gun is a bit smaller. Still 18v  but tops out at 300 Nm. A Shit load lighter and better to use. Never had a wheel nut that it can't handle yet.

I love them for work, bloody handy. We used the small (not sure what they're called) plug in 8th inch ones at work in Sarina. I loved the dewalts, they were tough, did a lot of work & weren't looked after. We dropped them from ladders or out of buckets, there'd work all day in the rain or during the wet, we'd unknowingly leave them in a puddle of water in the bottom of the bucket for a night or the weekend & they'd still go for us when we needed. The only reason we went away from the to Milwaukee, which were ok at the time, was there were no repairers for Dewalt in Australia.
Now in Roma, we have a half inch job that's on its way out. It's not that old, 18mths-2yrs but it's done an unbelievable amount of work. Before I got here, the boys got it to replace the hydraulic rattle gun so we wouldn't have the hoses flopping about. This thing regularly drills 26mm holes through big hardwood poles. After my doubts from Sarina, I want one for home, they'd last a life time here.

Yeah. They are identical. The Milwaukee performance now is where Snapon was yrs ago.
I wouldn't be paying the $$$ again for Snapon now that you can get Milwaukee at a much lower $$$
And deals that include grinders, drills etc.

I have the Ryobi one from Bunnings. I think I only paid around $120 skin only.

It's great for changing wheels. I hardly ever turn the air compressor on anymore.

For what its worth, we have a heap of the Ryobi gear at work - the 18V rattle guns, impact drivers, cordless grinders and drills.

I've been really impressed with them all, especially the impact drivers; they get abused on a daily basis and just keep going.

Milwalkee seem to be the top of the range though, but you pay for it

Really depends on how much you want to spend on what you get...Milwaukee is pretty popular with tradies these days as it's decent quality at a half decent price, and you can walk into a store to buy it. I find that gear like my Hilti tools or stuff like Snap On are more powerful then the other stuff and yes more expensive, but less people buy them as you can't walk into a shop to purchase them.

Correct and the Snap On stuff are still only brushed motors.

Wurth also have a 12V cordless range.  Which is just rebadged Milwaukee M12 with a premium price, unless you buy 2 ton of Wurth consumables.

The Wurth is all the older range of Milwaukee 12 volt stuff and some current gear. 

I've not heard of snapon being made by TTi. I doubt it though.
