The Great B&S Challenge - Forum Fundraiser at Hanging Rock
« on: June 15, 2016, 02:53:25 PM »
ALL NUMBERS IN THIS COMP NOW GONE. Still some available in the Great Popcorn Challenge.

Forum Fundraiser to assist with server costs. The prize (at this time) is a $50 gift voucher for BWS, Supacheap or Bunnings.

The winner will be announced at the Picnic at Hanging Rock and is open to swagg'rs nationally.

With Brett&Jillsy's ok and because we love our B&S I have secured a partially used roll of B&S cable from lino6.

The remaining length of cable on the drum is between 12.5m and 14.0m.

Swagg'rs interested in this competition can donate $5 to the forum for guessing max 10 lengths in 1cm guesses and the person that guesses the right number (or is closest to) wins.

What do you need to do to participate?
Check the available list of sizes below and post in the thread which 10 measurements you want. These don't have to be concurrent, could be random.

Once you post up your numbers, you can deposit your $5 using paypal at admin@myswag.org or deposit into
Alloway Adventures Pty Ltd
CUA
BSB 814282
AC 31137735
If you use the paypal or bank options, please put your forum name in the description box so Jillsy knows who the $$'s are from. Or you can give to me at the Picnic at Hanging Rock.
http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topic=47016.0

Only 10 measurements in 1cm increments per swagg'r at this stage and first in best dressed. If there's spare numbers available after first round picks, I'll open it up to a second round.

I know many of you would be happy to donate more, but you can also participate in the Great Popcorn Challenge also. http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topic=48641.0

Um, technically it is not B&S cable.  Smallest "B&S" is 8 which is nominally 7.71mm square.  The drum being used for the guessing competition is only 4.59mm2  ;D ;D ;D

Great idea though.  Give me 1308 and 1313.

Edit - cable size

Thnx kb, technically it's 10 guesses for $5, but I'll take the 2 unless you want to pick another 8?

Technically it's twin sheathed 6mm auto wire, and 4.59mmsq..... just saying...
Edit: and being extra pedantic, B&S is also known as AWG which goes down to 40AWG. I have some here if it's of any use?

Thnx everyone that has posted so far. I'm just waiting on account detail confirmation with Jillsy and will send pm to you soon so you can deposit/transfer the $$'s straight to the forum account.

Alternatively you can use the paypal option on the home page, just make sure you put your forum name in the description and Jillsy will watch for $5 deposits (or $10 if in both guessing comps)

I could, but that could ruin the competition!

BTW - I have had a few PMs asking what the length is, it's cool that I told them right??
