Almost pick up time for our new Rhinomax Discovery
« on: March 15, 2016, 04:57:23 PM »
Just been informed our new Rhinomax Discovery is ready and will be waiting for us on Monday at their factory in Maroochydore.
Been a long wait for what we plan to be the camper that will see us well into retirement!  Will post some photos after the handover.  If the build is anything like the customer service so far we are on a winner.   Excellent responses to everything I have asked and ongoing mods and some last minute changes handled without a fuss.  Mac & Jen

Wow, looks great.  You must be excited.

May I ask what mods and changes you had done?

KB, we had a few structural changes - extra window on the drivers side and the roof has been strengthened to allow installation of air con should we choose to do so in the future.
Extra 85 l water tank
DC DC charger
Webasto diesel heater
Wineguard antenna (why I will never understand)
Suspension offset and rims tyres same as tug
Extra 12 volt sockets
Extra external LED under awning light
Awning front wall
1800 watt inverter upgrade
2 x sirocco fans
Firewood rack on front
Extra shelf outside kitchen area
Extra 240 volt outlets near bed and kitchen
Upgrade to batters = 3 x 120 a/hour agm
Upgrade to 50 amp charger
Front box
Extra mudflaps on front of camper
Vanity cupboard fitted internally

Crap, never realised there were quite so many extras..... but as I said this should be the camper that carries off on all our adventures until we're too old to do it anymore.  Mac

Hi Mac,
Your photo is of our actual unit that we picked up in January.
Excellent, you will not be disappointed !
The 2016 Rhinomax Discovery are fantastic, well built, good looking and so good to travel with.
Only one minor point, we should of purchased it earlier.

Mac, do yourself a favour, take time to go over the unit to understand how it works. Both Andy and Steve will explain well, you will need to listen as it is to exciting on the day to take it all in.
Enjoy and travel in comfort.

Love Australia and the people in it
Brett

Congrats on your purchase. Severel weeks ago camped next to Andy and his wife for a couple of days at 1770. They were testing out the new 10 footer I think it was. I was very impressed with the camper even though we would look at the slightly longer model if we were to purchase. These units seem to be well built but time will tell like anything how they go. One thing for sure is the very friendly nature and customer service that you receive from this company which for me is a real winner. Nothing seems like it would be an issue. When we are ready to downsize from the storm to a crossover van i feel one of these will definitely be in the running. Can't wait for the pics
