New Tufftrax

Hi all,
As some of you know I have been thinking about updating the Jayco camper, And I've been looking at a few crossover type vans. I have looked at a few over the last 10 or 12 mths or so, there is a few I like but what I like and the budget I have are two different things.

But I have narrowed it down to a few,And some of them seem to be good value for what you get with them but, But I worry about the quality as much as they say they are Aus made,I would say most components are from somewhere cheap, And I know they are also imported and they come with less kit for the money, But I keep coming back to the jurgens Tufftrax,  So if anyone has one or has an opinion on them please let me know, All feed back would be appreciated before i do something I might regret.

The old stargazer/xplorer had a strange annexe which was low and took 2 people to assemble. I see the new one is Aussie chassis and running gear which is good. They had issues with chassis cracking. I'd still look hard at a new one. Plenty to like and more storage than a uev commander/490.

Just type the relevent words in over at exploroz website. From about 2005 - 2010 there were a number with chassis problems and others with rotting panels. Care has to be taken reading it because some were oz delivered but a few were imports on alko running gear and euro chassis.
As I said, id still go and eyeball a new one. Products improve quickly these days - coming from a bloke who a few years ago said he'd never buy a Chinese camper. There's a lot to like about the design of the African stuff, and put on a proper chassis and suspension ( as the new ones are) they should go well.

Hi Jambooi,
No we were close and are still interested, but after we worked out we just won't get to use it as much as we would like, We decided to buy just a second hand van just for xmas holidays and the odd trip till we are ready to go for long enough to get the use out of a $50 grand camper rather than it sitting in the drive way for 11 months of the year.
