Finance broker - can assist on financing your camping dreams
« on: February 19, 2016, 01:30:45 PM »

Hey guys, have been a long term user of the forum and after assisting a few swaggers recently with finance I thought I would put a showroom thread up. (I hope this is allowed, it is relevant with financing cars and campers).

I run a finance company up here in sunny QLD! It has been my pleasure so far in financing campers for dozens of swaggers over the years so I am hoping to do plenty more.

Basically the best way we find to finance cars and campers is to go in and negotiate the best cash price for the item you are buying, then we can provide multiple quotes on repayments from different banks and get you the sharpest rate available. Most of the dealers who are offering these very cheap rates normally charge RRP on the vehicle or camper, then in the fine print you will find after 2-3 years the rate jumps a lot higher. We can obtain sharper rates for you and you can obtain a sharper purchase price and it is a win win all round.

Jump on and like us on Facebook

https://www.facebook.com/Dream-financing-820247191460084/

Here is my website

https://dreamfinancing.com.au

We are located northside brissy but have clients all over Aus, including Tas, NZ & PNG.

We offer finance for houses, businesses, commercial, equipment finance, cars & anything really. We do a lot of refinancing to save people dollars on their home loans and often this is the best way to increase it via a line of credit or cash out to buy 4x4s and caravans etc.

We are a local truly Aussie owned business so if anyone needs any help with anything feel free to shoot me a PM.

My email address is brenton@dreamfinancing.com.au and mobile is still the same 0423 030 533

Thanks guys,

Hi All,

Just a quick thanks to Brenton, we had to borrow a small amount of money to get us over the line with the new camper and a new..........

Brenton had lots of useful advice that he offered up for free after I contacted him as a result of the "Toyota Finance" thread. His advice has saved us quite a significant amount of money over the term of the loan.

I will never again go with the original repayment / interest rate quoted by a bank. They seem to be pretty keen to discount things if you're prepared to play one off against the other.

Cheers

Thanks for the kind words Lindsay, we really appreciate it.

Yes definitely banks never give the best deal up front, however using us and other brokers you are always going to get the best offer up front so at least you can see who has your interests at heart. Same goes with home lending and business/commercial finance. At the end of the day the banks want top dollar from you.

Good luck with the new toys and selling the old ones!

Guys am off to Fraser for 2 weeks on holidays this sat. Back 2nd April. Other people are in the office working but for finance enquiries best to follow the below

Phone 075495300 or 0419781428 for Warren.

email warrenpavey@crediflex.com

Cannot wait to get back onto the island. Doing a week on eastern side camping up on the beach near ocean lake (ngala rocks) and then a week on western side at awinya creek. Best of both worlds.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Brenton. Finance is always a pain and often you want to do it one way and the lenders have the way they would like you to do things. Brenton was very patient and helpful with providing quick replies to various options I requested.

Brenton's communication was great and he was friendly and helpful throughout. If anyone is looking into finance for a camper or even a house or car I would recommend giving Brenton a call and having a chat.

Now I just have to wait for my new camper trailer to arrive

Have had a couple of recent business loan and home loan enquiries from the site so thanks for the support. On the home loan side of things two lenders have increased fixed rates over the last two days so interesting times ahead. I am not quite sure what the method to their madness is given economists are saying potentially another RBA rate cut in the near future.

... interesting.   I suppose if a couple of the lenders have raised their fixed interest rates - then they are punting that variable rates will soon go north a bit..   Is that about right?

I just refinanced a large commercial loan P&I - (from BOQ - where I had been a loyal customer since 1989, but where the darlings saw fit to have me on 4.9% grrr);  ..to Suncorp, at a rate of 4.7% & I.O...

Would you say 4.7% (Commercial finance I.O. ) - is about on the money?

Your advice welcome.

You can probably get better than that.
NAB is doing some of my stuff at 4.3% and ANZ are doing the rest at 4.2%. Minor fees probably raise the rate by 0.05%.
It all depends on the security obviously. Some of my clients are getting rates in the high 3's

Hey Base camp. Yes suncorp are starting to play with sharp rates in the commercial space so by all means i wouldn't see this as a bad rate.

It just depends, some banks will lend for business purposes at residential rates if 50% + of the security is residentially secured. So for example the rate would be sub 4% however obviously it needs the resi part to secure it. we are doing a lot of this with law firms, accountants etc where they have business lending (some paying 7+% due to being loyal customers of a bank  :-[) and we are getting them down sub 4% so you can understand the savings. We just did this for a hairdresser client who owns 3 pretty exclusive shops around brissy and saved them about $60k annually in interest.

ING currently have commercial rates around the 4.2-4.3% as well for the right client, they are quite conservative and like the straight froward deals which obviously they all do.

Given you have just refinanced already its probably not financially viable to do it again plus the headache for you, however when you want to shop around let us know happy to offer advice if thats what you would like to do.

Am in the middle of working on a  $6M+ commercial deal for a client in Sydney who owns multiple hardware stores. they have been with westpac in their family for 60+ years and now basically because valuations have come up short westpac are playing hard ball with them. Based on what banks have offered me so far they will save about $180,000 annually in interest, they cannot believe it. not to mention discounts on merchant services fees and bank waiving valuation costs. I suppose the beauty of using a good broker is instead of you playing the bank yourself we do it. at the end of the day playing a bank direct most of the time they know they have you as you are already talking to them.

Camping is much cheaper....  ;D

Thanks Prado, .. with us - what was so dissapointing with BOQ; (which I had been with since 1989); was that on 45% LVRs ... they wanted $10,400pcm P&I at 4.9% per month on one of the loans; and even less inspiring on another ...  whereas Suncorp was more than pleased to take us on at 80% LVR - (exclusively against 1 x commercial rental property) ...  permit  I.O. at 4.7%; (great for cash flow);  ... and would also allow a version of a "mortgage offset" type of facility on the com facility - so we can park cash and redraw if/when needed --

Suncorp also picked the tab up for the $2.4K val.

I appreciate you can get sub 4% for com - if you throw in a resi property. ..   but in 2015 we liquidated our PPR; (will be using the "profit" for that offset) - and we moved into a (previous) resi investment property...

And due to our appetite for risk, (or lack thereof);  and further because of the general malaise of the macro environment imho; ..we made the conscious decision not to mortgage our (new) PPR...

Happy enough to pay a few more basis points on the com loan; (which is tax deductable in any case); and at least have a roof left over our heads - in the event that the SHTF. ...  (which I can see coming within the next 36 months....

Hey Base camp sorry for the late reply mate havent been on for a few days!

Yes a lot of people in life get disappointed with banks as they think they have some sort of loyalty etc and at the end of the day you are talking about a big organisation with big turnover so the person you had loyalty with once upon a time probably isn't even there anymore. I suppose thats the benefit of using a broker, especially one who runs their own business as they work for you and aren't going to get a promotion or a transfer. Also at the end of the day we can change banks for the customer so you aren't even tied to one organisation. I've had  a few run ins with BOQ over the years but I've also written them millions of dollars in business. they are hard as they are a franchise, sometimes you get someone who owns one and they have a very lets say "odd" mentality. At the end of the day you have a good situation which has allowed cash flow to benefit and you saved money with repayments so thats a win win from my end.

Congrats! Any questions dont hesitate. I am a what they call gold broker with suncorp as well so if you ever need a hand let me know. enjoy!
