Where would you Camp and what must be done and seen

If staying in the Grampians in early March 2016 for several days? Caravan Park is OK if it has an 'open airy' atmosphere.

Zumstein (or something like that) is cool, well was 30 odd years ago when I was there last.
There's a good one in hall's gap but can't think of the name.

No camping at Zumsteins these days... :'( :'(...... Day visits only now.

Haven't used any of the CP's there for a few years, so can't offer any recommendations.

The Grampians isn't a huge area. "Several days" would give plenty of time to see the main attractions.
McKenzie Falls is very nice, but a very steep walk down to the base.

You're kidding....... :o

used to scout camp there in the late 70s and 80s
more bureaucratic bumbling with closing down areas I suppose......... :( :(

Yeah, we camped there a bit too. A real pity it's not available.

I believe the camp toilet/shower block was causing issues with the creek.
Well, that was the word at the time......
