Product Described vs Product Actual
After reading lilstookie's thread regarding a problem with his new CT and the suggested remedies
I was interested in denidoug's post.
To Quote: "Mate have you looked at the ACCC site, Consumer rights and guarantees. worth a read, print it off and wave that in their face, you are entitled to a full refund I have been down this path before with the purchase of a new boat ,it all comes down to "Product supplied not as described"
If your camper does not compare to their display unit ,you have rights for full replacement or full refund".

This got me thinking, does this also apply to Fast Food as their displays and description never match
their actual product.
Here is a classic example:

HJ's was sued overseas by an unhappy customer... the lawyers went and bought numerous burgers on the day of the case, and brought them into the case LOL!

Its called serving suggestions and its normally on the packaging or end of the ad... basically this is what it could look like but in reality its never going to look like this

It's called false advertising, to the general public anyway, but they all get away with it.

The buns are actually bigger, there is more filling inside, so it's not just making it look prettier, they are misrepresenting what actually goes into a burger.

It's like advertising a Toyota Hilux, but they use a Tundra in the ad, with huge inside shots and show how the tray is so big as well !

If you want a proper burger, find the local takeaway shop that does a proper one....for probably less money than Ronald !!

Years ago my eldest worked part time at HJ's, I used to take a tiger roll from Bakers Delight in and she used that.
Totally different burger with a decent roll.

It also contains uncooked / undercooked food, several layers of lacquer and 2 people taking 6 hours to construct...

Many years ago the F&C shop in Rosanna did one of the best burgers with the lot, but it was one of the most unattractive squashed things you've ever seen. Especially when compared to the Coca Cola picture on the menu board offering a burger and Coke combo meal.

At least the pictures in the menu of your local 70's inspired Chinese takeaway are accurate.  Every dish pictured on the same dodgy red plastic plate. Glazed in a nice msg.

Sadly it looks like "The Great Aussie Burger" is almost a thing of the past.

Tell us about your best burgers and where you got them from.

Most of mine have come from Roadhouses at Truckstops on my travels.

Our local fish & chip does a great works burger.

Rissole about an inch thick nicely seasoned, , 3 eyes of bacon, egg, beetroot, pineapple, lettuce, tomato onion on a toasted bun with BBQ sauce,   All for less than a small Mac

Of course it may be a while until my next one...

Not when you roll your own. Occasionally at work on the last day of our shift we have a cook up for lunch. One of the regulars is a greek take out inspired burger.
with crunchy saseme seed roll, egg, bacon, beetroot, lettuce tomato, onion and cheese. The pineapple isnt a favorite ingredient where i work.
We all bring in our nominated ingredients and whip up the burgers. Ones well and truly enough.

Condingup Tavern does a great massive burger, about $20 though!

I totaly agree,pineapplez got no buisness being on a burger.
I always tell them to leave it out and check before i eat it.
