Leaving Kids in cars on days like this
« on: January 13, 2016, 08:19:25 PM »
I know its Bombstown area, full of people who don't speak English.... but how the **** can people still not get the message about DONT LEAVE KIDS IN CARS ON HOT ****ING DAYS??

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/woman-charged-after-leaving-young-child-locked-in-car-20160113-gm562s.html
Quote
The young boy was found by officers inside a Toyota Corolla sedan with all the windows wound up.

It is alleged the child was in the vehicle for approximately one hour. The recorded temperature in Bankstown at the time was above 35 degrees celsius.

The child was in a distressed state when officers arrived at the scene, police said.

Officers had to force their way into the car to remove the child before he was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics.

The boy was then taken to Bankstown Hospital where he was treated for dehydration.

The mother, a 29-year-old woman, returned to the vehicle after being paged in the kebab shop.

On a typical summer day, the temperature inside a car - even with the windows slightly rolled down - can quickly rise above 50 to 60 degrees.

High temperatures inside vehicles can put children at a great risk for heat stroke and can lead to dehydration, seizures, stroke and death, police said.

Maybe they need TV Commercials showing stuff like this..
http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/parenting/celebrity-chef-matt-moran-cooks-lamb-in-parked-suv-to-highlight-danger-of-leaving-kids-in-cars/news-story/b2479ead2cdf0f4c1c8504651f4e9f21
"A time-lapse video then shows the meat cooking in just over an hour, with the vehicle reaching a maximum temperature of 72.5C."

Reminds me of a news special where an American judge set up a program to let non violent crims who stole stay out of prison if they got a job in the area they stole from and stayed out of trouble ..
Then any one of the crims proven victims could at any time with the police attending, come and legaly take goods to the value of what the crim stole from them ..So  they got a taste of what it was like to have stuff taken away that they worked hard for ..

They would need to be bloody good kebabs if you need to wait one hour for them.
On a drool scale of 1 to 10 where a Big Mac in 1 minute was a one, 1 hour for a kebab would have to rate a million on tastes & texture.
As far as child endangerment goes, it's probably more of a cultural thing. In many countries parents cherish their children, but cultures that treat kids as disposable and easily replaced have different thought processes. One less mouth to find food for is a bonus, or if food is plentiful just pumps another brat out. These countries of origin have child life expectancies far shorter than ours where leaving kids in the shade of a water buffalo in the rice field, or under a camel in the sand is acceptable.
That's the nasty thing about being pushed into multiculturalism. We take the good things like some of the food, holidays, colourful clothes and the like, but don't accept the bad like Sharia Law, terrorism, child abuse, misogyny and the rest.

WTF has it got to do with multiculturalism? and what is the bit about kebabs? are you reading this into the story, or making the judgement from another story?

Or are you making the assumption based on the location, the same way as people make assumptions about the south side of brissy?

That is weird.  When I read the story originally, it said the parent was in a kebab shop.  Now it says  they were in the mall.  I suspect they have updated the news report.     I had the same thought when I first read it 'gee that is a slow kebab shop'.

Perhaps the kebab shop is in the mall?

There are a couple of socioeconomic groups that toast or boil their kids in cars....

Hardcore desperado types - at the chippie; or at the pokies AND the posh spice types in their BMs - kiddies all "lovingly" strapped in - whilst poor mommy so rushed and time poor. -- self justifiably abandons them....   a generalization of course - but I CAN tell you that I have witnessed plenty of the latter at my work's car park.. Tracey Grimshaw offers plenty of evidence on the housos.....

Off topic, but actually no.  The human race is the only animal that is stupid enough to keep breeding when food sources are low......  Whether food is plentiful or not, we keep on pumping them out.
Other animals don't do that. They breed to their available food source.

But regardless people shouldn't lock kids or animals in cars for any reason..

Seriously ?
I think you need to do a bit more research on gambling statistics because thats where the kids in cars mostly happen.
Secondly id say at a guess youve never left an area where most gamblers are anything but white trash.
Those people that your Shitting on as immigrants worked for decades to leave where they are from for thier children alone.

Actually -  another way to consider this is here....

If you're referring to breeders from the 1st world....  there is never anything BUT plenty of food available. ...   From KFC to Maggie Noodles to the Salvos....

If you are referring to 3rd world breeders....   in spite of the corruption;  mayhem;  and starvation;  they are the biggest breeders of all....

This may not be in fact for the idea of a heir and a couple of dozen spares - for the sake of the parent's genes...

No, its about the hope of mum & dad for some sort of "social security" for their old age...

No $80 billion a year to be sunk into welfare payments in the 3rd world. ...   like what goes on over here....

The breeding programme is the only safety net they ever have the hope of making....

PS - I am on tapatalk - so I can't check what Australia's welfare burden actually pa.....   so $80B??  tba...

Seriously????  Not really. But why the hell should I research gambling when the original post talked about a kid left in a car when the driver went for a kebab? I can't see where I mentioned white trash.
I don't recall Shitting on migrants either especially ones that worked for decades anywhere.
If you want to comment on what I actually wrote, go for it. If you want to misinterprate or ignore what I wrote make your own thread.
And if childrens survival was thier only concern, they would not be left in cars.

It has the fact that the food was not native Australian and came from another culture, and the original post mentioned the driver left the kid in the car going for a kebab.
And what is wrong with the south side of Brissy?  Our rednecks come in all colours and flavours.
Why do people try and read thier own agenda into responses?

Well I didn't see any mention of kebabs in the article. And anyway, you'd probably find there would be more kebabs sold to European background people, because the people who come from places where kebabs originated wouldn't eat what gets passed off as kebabs from a lot of the mall outlets anyway.

I didn't read my own agenda into anything, you made an assumption based on what you read into the article.

Haha, I like the line about rednecks though. Is that all colours of flannos?

Your right, if you click the link and read the article, it does not mention "kebab" shop anywhere.
