Yamaha 2.0 kva inverter.
I don't use the genie for a camping aircon but as a backup for charging and to run the fridges, ceiling fans and lights if we loose power.

I always wanted a Honda but reviews swayed me a little to the Yamaha and my BIL looked after me on price at $1570 which was a little cheaper than the Homda.

Can't honestly give a review just yet but will when it earns its keep.

I have a 4kva BBT (Big Boys Toys) cheapie ebay inverter generator that I use.
A bit big for camping but I purchased it to run the house after cyclones and can not justify purchasing a smaller one for camping when this one does the job.
About 6 years old and still starts and runs perfect.

You can easily fix that. Have a noisy  airconditioner which drowns out the "brrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sound.

280W of solar panels and 2 X 105AH AGMs for camping in the pop top. We do have a Honda EU20i, but haven't bothered taking it travelling, and haven't really found the need for a genny so far. Then again, we haven't been in a situation where we've been camping and had more than 2 consecutive days of bad weather yet  8). All that runs off 12V is LED lighting, and a small LCD TV or Kenwood car stereo, for a couple of hours sometimes. Fridge on gas, (plus an Engel 35L in the Troopy) and portable (lunchbox  >:D) cooker for cooking, if we don't build a fire in a cut down 9Kg gas bottle. Oh yeah, and 12V and gas for a Coleman shower.
4.2L TD Toyota Troopy, (Clarke's Country Camper Trailer, softfloor.) sold it and bought a Avan Ray small poptop caravan.
