I looked at these but did not like the fact that the gauge was in the cig plug which meant it would have been hard to see. (I know you could connect it via a cable to the cig plus.)  I ended up getting a 'Safe T Tyre' set up, 8 sensors to fit the car and the caravan.  The large gauge sits on the dash and is very easy to see.  I know the alarms will activate depending on the settings you have set, but I like to be able to keep a bit of an eye on the temps and pressures.  The price was not as cheap as the Ebay one but I have seen the 'Safe T Tyre' in use and spoken to owners and so far I am very impressed with how it is working.  I phoned to order it on a Tuesday afternoon and it was in my hands the very next day, in Qld.  Kevin

Have a similar unit from supercheap. Sits well in the 200 and alarms when something is going on. Only problem is the lower end pressure will not allow it below around 25

Kev

Can these be set to different pressures for different tyres, or does everything have to be the same across the board?

What sort of price range?

Thanks

Graeme

Had a tyre dog for two years after killing a tyre by running it flat. Murphys law will almost guarantee that I will never need it now I have it....

Those of you running the screw on sensors, how much of a hassle is it to take them off when inflating/deflating tyres?
Cheers, John.

No different to removing a normal valve cap.
I have a tyredog TPMS, and haven't bothered fitting the security locking bits.  If i did, you'd have to spend an extra minute or so unscrewing them before removing the sensors.  I reckon you'd have to pretty unlucky to have someone steal your sensors.....

As long as you remember to turn off the unit/alarm and (at least with mine) put the sensor back on the wheel it came from.
Got very confused recently when I got the Patrol back from a service as the TPMS was telling me the tyre I was inflating was going down in pressure  ??? and the tyre I was deflating was going up in pressure  ??? . Once I realised the wheels had been rotated it made much more sense  ;D

Yes, able to set each tyre as you want, temp and pressure.  My set which was for the 8 sensors was $450 delivered also comes with 8 spare sensor batteries. Also easy to have just the car tyres showing if not towing and back to the full 8 when towing.  Kevin

It's strange they don't quote prices on the net.

I had to phone them for a price and they gave me a discount because we have CIL insurance.  I would have liked to see them at a camping show because I think they give good deals there, well that was what a traveller told me?  Kevin
