There seems to be a big campaign running in favour of this, but on a site I have since lost I saw some arguments against it. It sounds like the plan is to amalgamate all the forests, state parks and national parks close to Melbourne and as far out as Eildon, into one, and to impose a number of restrictions of what may be done there. You can guess how that might turn out.
My searches (not very diligent so far) only seem to show support from the Greens, David Attenborough, and many others, but I would like to think that the other side of the argument is presented too. Has anyone got a useful link?
