Clear view Towing Mirrors
« on: November 14, 2015, 04:14:57 AM »

   G'Day All,
Now i'm not sure if this subject has been kicked around before...I'v looked in the search area with not much coming up so i'll just ask the question again. I just fitted a set of Clearview to my BT50 and guess what.....they are pretty big and appear to stick out a fair way.  I contacted the supplier and they advised me that they were quite legal... Does any of our wise members have any information on this please.

      Cheers Tracker.

I fitted Clearviews to the Cruiser and had no problem getting a roadworthy to,change rego from QLD to TAS.

Great mirrors, though it took a while to get used to them.

Clearview mirrors are illegal in WA I beleive as they stick out too far when fully retracted.
I had a set on the 200, sold them because they were too big and didn't need them for the Kimberley as its narrower than the 200.

Doesn't that just illustrate the stupidity of state (territory) based road rules.  Quite legal in on jurisdiction, drive across the border and one is breaking the law! 🤔😖

We have just had our cruiser checked for rego, shifting it from Qld to NSW and they passed. We love ours they make towing so much easier and safer

On the clearview site there is a certificate you can print out for your model vehicle stating that it has an Australian standard and is legal in all states etc. It also advises you to carry the certificate with you in case you get pulled over.
