I have friend who owns jeeps
Mum, dad and both kids have jeeps of various models and ages.

The dad likes to add stuff and has every attachment and accessory available, as does the son.
The Mum and daughter leave theirs alone and are stock.

But its very common for one of them to have their vehicle in the shop being "Fixed" for one thing or another.

The same family owns a limo service and I think the only reason they are not upset about the jeep is because there are actually vehicles out there that are far far worse.
I'm talking about the Hummer, these lemons are off the road almost as much as they are on it.
It has cost them a bomb to keep these stretch hummers on the road and the only reason they are persevering with them is because they invested so much and have spent so much and resale is so bad that its not worth their while to get rid of them.

Ill stick with my Exy, its a good reliable, if a little rough around the edges, car.

Jeep must be loving all this free publicity.

First some guy holds a public execution for his Jeep now this bloke makes a hit song and uses a Jeep dealership as the backdrop for the video.

Any car manufacturer can make the occasional 'lemon' but its how the company deals with it that makes the difference.  I feel sorry for these owners who are driven (no pun intended) to such extremes out of sheer frustration.

The JD Power Initial Quality study this year had 3 FCA brands Chrysler, Jeep and Fiat among the bottom five based on defects within the first 3 months of ownership.. 124 defects for every 100 vehicles.

And its not just Australia:  In July the American NHTSA announced that it would be forcing FCA (Fiat Chrysler America) to buy back, at the customer's option, certain Dodge trucks due to defective parts in the drive line ~200,000 vehicles. This is because they were failing to repair the vehicles, up to two years later..  The buyback program is one component of a consent order that also includes $105 million in civil penalties for the automaker's lax record of repairs and communication for 23 recalls covering more than 11 million vehicles.

So my $60,000 jeep has problems i reckon i should spend $8,000 and make a video, yeah right, maybe those who take this wannabe seriously should have a look at the problems he had and what was done about them, cant have them fixed cause how am i going to get my face and "music ability" on TV. I should have made a video when my 3lr patrol imploded, along with hundreds of others or my BIL's prado keeps spitting its injectors. I personally couldnt give a toss about this di#@ head im glad i got out of my patrol and into my jeep , second one.  no problems here  :cup: ;D

$8000 to make that vid/?? probably no more than $500.. well worth it.. .look at the damage to the hairdressers name ... he has succeeded. its been on so many US and Aussie TV shows hes has a massive win!

Would have been much easier to make things right for Gino

What drives someone to spend 8K on a video about how bad their car is, or publicly destroy one?  Yes, Jeeps have their issues, so do other car makes.

What sets Jeep apart is their after sales service/support, or lack of it.
Even in spare parts.  A mate services a few newish ones and 'tries' to use OEM parts to avoid warranty issues for the owner.  Half the time they don't have the basic consumables in stock!

So, out of the huge number of Jeeps that have been sold, and there is plenty.....

A lot of 'em must be going pretty good I would think.
