Update: Lynryd Skynard.

Saw a cover of Simple Man a couple of months ago on YouTube.... sounded interesting.

Bought a best of CD the other day.....what a stinker !!
Only song that ever sounded tight and well crafted was Sweet Home Alabama.

Oh well...you win some you loose some.

A couple of weeks ago a woman came into the shop wearing a Porkers t-shirt.  This had me reminiscing about the good times seeing them (when they were called the Pork Hunts) and a number of other great indie bands such as the Crying Suns play in Newcastle in the early 1990's. Managed to find them on iTunes and reacquainted myself with them.

There used to be an old barn on the side of the road, on the way to N.B. I remember my mum (in her 60's) reading the name of the band (original name), that someone had scrawled down the side of the barn in big letters with white paint. I turned in shock as I her her say it, till I realised she was reading what was written in the barn...  ;D
