I think getting away and maybe chatting to some people not connected with your situation may help you. Then as loanrangie said it might be time for that long chat with your missus. Otherwise it will probably just get worse without some stress release for you. Take care of yourself. I'm sure the Vic crew will be helpful now you have been open about the hard issues you have been facing.

I ended up with diabetes this year just to top things off so I shouldn't realy drink.
As a rule I don't much any more but the last few weeks ive bent the rules.

Be good to take off without telling her for a few days and make her think about her priorities maybe.
I nearly got a hotel tonight but didn't want to waste money

Seriously get up to Maldon, we are all a bunch of stirrers but are all good people and we always look after myswaggers

Mate, just get on down there with what you can. Just bring some food & drink, there is plenty of fridges you can use and we all have heaps of cooking gear

I was reluctant at first because im not in the most socialising mood at the moment but i feel welcome now and understood where i didnt before. I apologise if i was short with people (geof) but wasnt in a user friendly frame of mind.
Ill talk to igor and shane about organising getting his camper back and I recon I might for a night at least.
How far is it again from geelong?
What nights are the first there and the last leaving... I know I could go back and read the thread but id rather not.
Thanks again... my moods improved emensly even though I'm getting the silent treatment for sticking up for myself

Some will be there tomorrow. Some are staying until Monday. Friday-Sunday most will be there.

Geelong-Anakie-Ballan-Daylesford-Castlemaine-Maldon. It's quite a nice drive.

If you can get yourself there Dale, I'm sure you'll be pleased you made the effort.

Would love to see you mate, and more than happy to have you park the new 'ice burg' next to the Heaslip.  Lots of space in the kitchen too.

Do yourself a favor Dales, take a break and go up to Maldon you will have a ball, l'm not the most social guy around but always enjoy the swagger get togethers, I would be there but for work. With your knowledge you will have some long conversations with a lot of like minded people, one of them being geoffa . One word of advice tho, keep an eye on that sji and hutchie when they get together they are up to no good but your gut will ache from laughing

Sounds really dysfunctional mate.

I think i will side with Bird on this one... you need to walk away.

2 things here worry me, as they happened to me: your partner tries to create fights and arguments out of nothing & your partner bags you out to other people. In my experience she is trying to make you leave..

Alternatively, can be a sign of depression, or a cyclical thing.  They can be strange critters, you are the one who knows her and your relationship best.

You mentioned about skipping away without telling her, perhaps have a think about letting her know you're going camping for a night or two... But as B&B said, you know your situation best.

Either way, have a good weekend and don't forget to breathe in the fresh air.

All the best,

Paul

Tell her your going for the weekend mate because you need too. I don't think anything good can come from just disappearing?  You'll have a ball and when ur back in a better frame of mind find a councillor and seek her to join you. From there it's up to both of you.

Do it sooner rather than latter dale or it will chew you up.

.....besides the rugby WC finals will be on Soon  and you kiwis usually always get depressed after that, unless it's played at home.  ;D
Here for a good time, not a long time!
