How have you attached your dash mat?
« on: September 26, 2015, 10:13:11 PM »
I don't want anything permanent and I've tried double sided tape, Velcro and sticky dots with no joy. Each time I've wiped the dash down with isopropanol in case the previous owner used silicon based crap on it but nothing wants to stick long term.
Before I cut some holes in the mat and zip tie it through the vents, is there a better way besides M16 dyna bolts or kemsets?
Cheers,
Paul

The only thing that works is when the missus is driving while I'm data logging the console fridge temp, is jamming a few empty cans inbetween the dash and windscreen. Also helps with in cab hostility.

Go to Kmart and in the Home Storage section, and buy "non slip matting roll". Cheap as chips, cut in to sections and put under your dash mat.

I use them inside the CT with good results I also have them under my floor mats in the car. The Cruza has a vinyl floor and those deep mud grabbing mats use to slide around all of the time until I used this stuff.
