Nope. No avocado for me either.

Proper food, and proper cars.......

Pretty safe to say you dont sprinkle psyllium husk and chia seeds on your weetbix either then ;) I miss my Patrol :(

There is 1 at the moment getting the chop in Perth. But they are also putting in a durmax or something.

If you look at current pricing for the Hilux and Isuzu as a guide, the Fortuner will be $10K more expensive just because it has a Toyota badge.

KB

And will sell like hotcakes.

Not too hard a choice when they are giving them away...........

If I hadn't recently bought the playdo, I'd be getting one for sure.
I'm even considering the upgrade anyway as the new van is 3000kgs.........

Might wait and have a long look at the fraud Everest when it finally launches, but for the money, I reckon the big patrol wagon is going to be a winner.
(of course the whole diesel / petrol thing goes on and on like 6 B&S, but at the end of the day what you spend in fuel you save in servicing and up front cost)

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm,

More money........... :'( :'( :'( :'(
Whoever thinks camping is a cheap hobby has clearly never tried it..... >:D

40k km on my Y62 now and I have zero regrets.

Had a Y61 with the 4.8 previously,  for me once they dropped the 4.8 the Y61 patrol was dead already :)

So far the Y62 had proven itself more capable and more comfortable than my Y61 ever was and its still stock!!

If you havnt had a drive in one you don't know what you're missing!!

My 2005 4.2l diesel Patrol is worth what cost new 10 years ago.  I rest my case ;)

It may be worth that much to you but the market probably won't support it.

According to Redbook.com.au the new price of an ST manual was $58990. You may have got a better deal than that though
And looking at Carsales.com.au at all of the 10 2005 4.2s are around shows us the average price is $43,500.
Some of these were stock and normal klms and some were modded with low klms so they covered the spectrum of what type of 4.2s are going to be out there. Top price was $56,000 for one with 129 000klms and the cheapest was $30,000 and it had 255 000klms

Sorry to burst your bubble.............

And back to oroginal topic....................farewell GU...............thanks for the poopy memories!
Cheers Nick

Only to those that are prepared to pay the price.
Just like those that are prepared to pay the coin for an early 80(91-93 1hdt), some still fetch up to 24K.
Your vehicle is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

I know the 4.2 is highly desirable, but be buggered spending that sorta coin on a 10 year old truck, same situation with the 200 driving up prices of the last td 100 series due to perceived oil burning issues, somewhat died down now

2010 TTD Landcruiser, i have added stuff but can't remember what! Slowly gettin quicker at setting up the brumby but breaking camp is another matter....

Had the same issue with high prices being demanded (and still do to a certain extent) of the last of the 80 series factory turbo diesels
