Obviously not by the lack of responses but it is on my to do list one day. I think Bird may be keen as well  cause I 'm sure he likes that kind of music ;D

Yep I have been a couple of times, a mate of mine plays there every year, and its a good event. Last year I took my 14 yr old daughter for the day on Saturday and she had a ball. Don't think its a place to take younger children though.

We went up yesterday and set up. looking forward to getting there next thurs crn't wait.
this is our first time. Any Tips would be welcome.

Typhoon

We'll be up there Wednesday around noon. We camp down on poulsens overflow, nice flat ground with a can walk to the event. Where did you set up Typhoon?

Biggest tip would be come prepared for rain, cold and heat.

I've been there when it has flooded twice, punters and artists couldn't even get in on one occasion, that was an awesome time, artists who were on site just kept playing everywhere. Bring gumboots and an oilskin (drizabone) or very good raincoat just incase, this will be my tenth year and have only needed such items twice now.

The cool, some nights the temp drops right down, bring warm clothes and a good campfire. The local school sells bags of firewood if you don't have enough room to bring your own firewood, they also supply fire rings. The local school has a ute driving around selling ice as well.

The heat, some years I've been and it's been singlet weather the entire time even at night. Bring a good hat, it'll keep the sun off you and if it rains, the water off you.

They sell a lot of great food onsite, we tend to cook most our food back at camp, I love my camp time.

The muster is such an awesome event, the people you meet, the friendliness of everyone, the music, the camping, it's an unreal time.

The gumboots would be a good suggestion if we get the rain they are forecasting for this week (looks like about 50mm forecast for Gympie area, but who knows if it'll get that). Appears as though the heavier falls will be just down over the border though.
