Window Poles
« on: July 20, 2015, 06:49:14 PM »
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there new camper came with window poles or did you have to buy them yourself. we just purchased a new camper and were told after the fact these campers don't come with those poles so after a few phone calls and emails we were told yes we will supply them but still not receiving any calls or emails so we will wait and see what comes about.

Where you located? I have some tent poles you can have if you want?

Thanks for the the offer oldmate,  what i was asking is when someone bought a brand trailer from a show and it was all set up did they get what they saw at the show or did they have to fight with the salesman to supply what had been looked at the show. In hindsight what i should have done was listed everything so then there could be no arguments over what was at the show

At the shows, like a tv commercial, they show a box with all the fruit in it, and a price that says you get this starting from $2.  $2 is the price of the box.  The fruit is all $1 each.  Seems like you bought a box, thinking you were getting fruit.   Bugger.

I think Con has got it right, not a biggie but all the bells and whistles are normally on show.

This saga is not over yet i have copies of his emails on the computer saying he will supply them and he will supply them just asking the question if this had happened to anyone else. The window poles are the poles for your window covers to stand off the annexe.

What are window poles?

My take would be poles that hold up the zippered flap over windows which can be put up to provide shade to the camper. We just roll ours up and one has a plastic cover over for wet weather

So your issue is about not receiving 4 poles?

I was thinking that's what they were as well.  I don't think they would be used much, just more stuff to carry.

We had to buy ours.  We even used them once, or maybe twice.

Putting the window covers out like that doesn't give you a lot of benefit.  Rolling them up gives maximum airflow. If you want privacy, then use a bit of cord on the corners and peg them out fairly close to the ground.  Pegging them out high like you do with poles, provides very limited shade as the sun moves and not as much rain protection as you hope.  Not worth the effort in my book.

I suspect they are not included because most people end up not using them very often.
