Stolen Huyundai iLoad with cage trailer
« on: June 25, 2015, 07:22:05 PM »
Hi Brisbane swaggers,

Just wondering if you could please keep an eye out for this van.

A good mate had his work van stolen. He is an electrician, so this is his livelihood.
Hyundai iLoad. The vehicle rego is 608 RWJ. It was taken at about 4:45pm from Sunnybank together with his cage trailer.
It has rather distinctive graphics on it.

Thank you

I will keep an eye out as Sunnybank is not that far away from me.
As you say, it's pretty recognisable with the sign writing it has.

Some good news. Van and trailer found about 4am this morning undamaged in Springwood  a few streets apart from each other.
Unfortunately tool bags, power tools & ipad gone, but they did leave his tool belt (as a smartarse friend pointed out - sparky's only need one screwdriver to do a full days work!   ;D )

Thanks to those who kept an eye out for this.

Wonder if you could booby trap a trailer using a non-lethal but painful electric shock ;D

Just use 240V, that would scare them off.  >:D

Maybe. I'm not up to speed on Apple stuff. Do you need a SIM card in it, or can you track them as soon as the device connects with the internet anywhere?

No app needed. Crime Converters will be the location.

An acquaintance used to overland his unimog camper (mostly the Sahara).  He fitted insulators around the outside and ran electric fencing around it. Charged it up at night to ~10,000V. He said he'd quite often hear a snap and swearing in the middle of the night.

That's gold.  :cup:
