Stereo Olympics, show us what you've got.
« on: May 16, 2015, 10:22:46 PM »
This is my outside iPod dock(redundant iPhone 3).

The Energy speakers were my old suround speakers, bought the sub through eBay for $169
i swapped my redundant from upgrade Yamaha reciever with my younger cousin for his Sound Research much cheaper less features.  This combo is so well matched, works incredible well and  punches far above its weight and sounds much better than its entitled too.
Gotta luv no rear neighbours.

House systems, car systems, outdoor systems, show us what your happy with regardless of dollars.
Cheers,
Paul

G'day Paul,
Purchased for Christmas for the whole family to use, Yamaha MCR-B142 for $500.00, the black model.
Very happy with it, blueTooth, an App is available to play/use your smart phone as a remote control, I can play music from our External HD, pretty good sound too for a small unit.
We've had JVC, Pioneer, Clarion and Akai systems over the years, but this is pretty good valve.

10+ year old Onkyo receiver and 10+ year old Jamo surround system speakers inside and Jamo outdoor speakers outside.

I still prefer the old mans valve amp, 'record' player and my old albums from when I was a kid. So much more fidelity in the medium and equipment of old.

I've got a parrasound system I paid 10,000 for in the late 90 ' s that still eats the best these days.
They won amp of the year for around 10 years running.
Polk audio speakers.

I have two systems and due to the new house one is in the garage at the moment ready to be hooked up.

Garage

Denon Amp
energy main speakers with intergrated subs
energy rears
a huge centre which cannot remeber name at the moment
400 cd jukebox unit
this unit is almost 20 years old and still going strong

Current house lot

Bose surround system with hidden sub
bose external speakers around pool
this was as the old system was too large to fit into the new house and be asthetically pleasing to the boss.

Now to fix up the 200 with some tunes

I picked up an ex display Kenwood bluetooth head unit for my camper the otherday for 100 bucks.
Retail for 280 but just been super seeded.
Duel usb inputs as well so I can slap a hard drive in the rear usb with stacks of music on it

Some interesting setups Mark And Steffo and I'm a bit envious of GG's garage system. :cup:

Bought this in white for SWMBO birthday. Love it. Sound quality is impressive for my untrained ear and I use it more than her bluetoothing music to listen to from my phone. I find the app redundant as the using Bluetooth does the same stuff.
