I just did a search on YouTube for 'Cape York' and found that a couple of my videos didn't show up
The two missing videos show up when I do a more specific search, so why not in the general Cape York search? They have Cape York in their titles.
I searched again and again (four times in total) all the way to page 37 and couldn't find them at all. The last few pages aren't even relevant, and are actually videos of Cape Town, New York real estate, dog walking, peoples profiles that have nothing at all to do with this topic etc... I also noticed that some videos were way near the back but other videos with less views, both newer and older, were in the first few pages, and it got me thinking.
How does the YouTube search work? Relevance? Date of upload? View count? Comments and interaction? Likes? etc... There doesn't seem to be an order to it. Also, are the search results different for everybody?
None of this explains why the videos seem to have disappeared though. Can somebody ask for someone else's video to be removed, and if so, shouldn't they contact the person first?
Sorry for all of the questions and confusion. I have no idea about this stuff. I just make the videos
I'd appreciate any help in trying to understand though
