Why does the world close today?? What about those of us that don't believe in ghosts?

Anyway off to prepare a roast, few steaks, some sausages,  pork potato's,  lamb and minted peas, and kangaroo and ice cream for dessert..

Not allowed red meat to day, so chicken it has to be or pork.  ;D

Personally I would love a big feed of prawns and crab but got home to late, way to late.  :'(

I don't mind the world being shut today, and I wish more days were like the old Sunday's where less was open. Better for poor souls on casual wages in retail as well.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Yep agree there Jim.
I would like to take it further and stop boxing day trade. As most NSW residents will know boxing day sales only happen in the Sydney CBD for some reason and now the government wants to allow trade for department type store in the rest of Sydney suburbs and regional to make it fairer. But do we need the stupid sales where everyone queues up for hours to grab a bargin while some poor sod has to man the registers. Leave boxing day alone and move the sales to the next day. If everyone was to do this no retailer would have an advantage over another and the retail staff can spend time with their families. I don't work retail nor do any of my family that I know of so I have no personnel interest.

It doesn't matter a ratsarse if the money hungry Retail owners open 7 days a week, there is still only the same amount of disposable income to spend!!  ??? Let people have a family life, instead of just taking taking and taking from families.

Close weekends and have 24hr trading through the week, problem solved!  ;)

7.5 days a week?
I tell you that daylight saving has a lot to answer for.
Over here we still have only 7 days a week , boy I'm glad we dont have daylight saving!

Cheers Glen

Shivers up here it's like a morgue, the entire town leaves Broome  ;D or goes to the beach but yea, why is it only the Indians that stay open on the corner store especially in our multicultural society. I wonder how many actually are following the day for what it is - stuff all i would say and most kids would call it Easter Egg day ;D

You think Broome is a ghost town you should be in Dysart ,I could set up the CT in the middle of the main street and camp out for the night
