 KB .....after paying to go to the Manly show and have them not actually selling anything at their stand, I don't won't to waste time going here if they are selling at normal prices.

yep i found that with the gc show the other weekend. No specials, everything was just marked the normal price with a sign that says, "yay show special". I wont bother anymore with these shows. I actually had a list of things i wanted and have got them outside of the show, cheaper. go fiquire. I guess they pray on the spare of the moment, i havent researched this, type of person.

The prepaid tickets also get you free train travel to the show... which is handy and saves a bit of cash as well

True that, but seeing as we drive all the way from sunny cst, we will cop the parking!

Just got back, I wanted to get home before the storms rolled in.  Overall I thought it was pretty good, lots of stalls and stuff to look at.  Got to meet up with Glenno "has-been", Jamie Hazelden, Shaun from 4WD Action and the crew from 4WD Touring Australia.  Roothy was a bit too hard to get to as you had to fight past all the kids and I wasn't that keen to get a selfie with him.
Do not PM me for technical advice - start a thread.

Just got back too. We really enjoyed the show this year.
Also, got Penny, Roothy, Jase, Simon & Carlisle to sign my shirt. They were so happy to have a chat.

Roothy came up to me for my autograph  ;D

Spent yesterday at the show.  Plenty of people.  Saw lots of stuff I couldn't afford  >:(

Highlights were:
The Drifta camper trailer.  Wow, impressed. :cup: :cup: Well built solid trailer and a great easy set up.  Whilst the Patriot won CT of the Year, the Drifta does it all for a third of the price.  Luke, Ross and Beachy were all there.  Good to meet them and discuss a few things.

The Complete Campsite Exodus.  Dream camper. If only money grew on trees  :D

Waited out the torrential storm at the presentation stage.  And it was airconditioned  :D  Jason and Simon from All 4 Adventure were good.  My son got his photo with them.  Top couple of guys.  Also listened to Allan Gray from Terrain Tamer.  What a knowledgable guy.  Would love to have him around my garage occasionally.

As for bargains, few and far between.  TJM were discounting heavily.  And their discounted prices were good for 30 days.  20% off their Airtek snorkels wasn't bad. ARB were offering the standard 10% off which you can get any day of the week if you ask.  Lots of other stuff no cheaper than online.  Didn't price any of the fishing gear though.

cheers for speaking to Projecta for me mate, you saved me the cost of going in there to find I could purchase the same product online $50 cheaper from several different suppliers. The days of big discounts at 4wd shows are long gone sadly, I've bought many products at them in years gone by, but the last few years I've barely spent a cent at the few I've attended.

ARB 10% off. Where is that. I have always asked for a discount and never got $1 off. Even after setting up the cruiser and spending $9500 they wouldn't even throw in a free shirt. Hope I'm the only one who doesn't get a discount.
