Brockys 70th Birthday.
« on: February 26, 2015, 02:57:01 PM »
Would have been today.

A natural talent, a flawed diamond, met the man several times, he allways had time for the kids, even those with daughters.

Are you forgetting Captain Risky?

He'd drive rings around Brocky all week and twice on Sundays.....

Yep - A top bloke.

I have a Brock signed umbrella in my golf bag. It says "Live life to the fullest"

I reckon thats a pretty good mantra to live by.

Met him at a Clipsal 500, and there weren't many people there at the time. He was happy to spend some time and just chat...

Still rue the day I passed up on buying his old 1973 Bathurst HDT LJ GTR-XU1 back in the '70s for ...wait for it....  $3,500
It was still in the exact same spec as Harry Firth built it too

Absolute legend, I never meet him but grew watching his feats at Bathurst mainly, and boy could he drive, backed by the best too.

Here's to a legend.....
