5 new Caravans stolen Tullamarine, VIC

Just saw this on FB just in case anyone spots one.

Sometime during the night from Saturday 21st Feb, to 10pm on Sunday 22nd Feb, two new 2015 Winnebago Minnie caravans and three new 2015 season Adria caravans were stolen from our holding yard in Tullamarine, VIC.

The thieves would have required up to 5 tow vehicles and would have been easily spotted leaving the area.

The Adria caravans are easily distinguished by the giant panoramic skylight windows, unique to caravans in Australia.

The Winnebago caravans are prototypes and the first of their kind in Australia. The silver grey colouring and giant ‘W’ logo on the exterior would make them instantly recognisable. In addition, no Minnies have been delivered to dealerships yet - so any unit spotted on the road is stolen.

The models stolen are:

the way they keep disappearing from dealerships and lot yard , manufactures will have to look at fitting trackers at time of construction ..  
where is this country going ?

1. Get away with it or
2. If they get caught our court system will set them loose.
Unfortunately our courts have set the burden of proof to high for prosecution and crooks are getting away  with crimes they commit.

Surely its got to be an inside job VS (a 100% random driveby)..

Possibly limited to 500-1,000 people (Winne staff; storage yard people; transport people; factory workers etc within a few K radius etc)...        that know about them being stored there...

Then take 10% of the above figures =  ("50 to 100 suspects"...)...

So who out of the 50 to 100 has the Opportunity to wrangle 5 x HD tugs; and has access to a lock up under 3kms from the crime scene etc etc



Then what on earth would be the after sales market for these stolen rigs?

"Industrial espionage" - doubt it
maybe one/all? of them has drugs planted in it somewhere??

That would have been one hell of a convoy. 
If it was 5 separate tow vehicles, thats five tongues that may let something slip. 
There is always a week link in any criminal enterprise which makes it easy to exploit. 
The smart crook would be a sole operator using a big truck on his/her own, they have too much to lose by telling anyone.
