Saw this today at Dick Smith and thought there would have to be a few on here who would have to have one of these.

Googled it and found this review from last year:

Actually sampled one on camp weekend just gone. Only makes short blacks but there are ways and means if you like it in a mug. Quite enjoyed it. But I would rather have a cup of tea when camping.

Received one as a Xmas present. Doubt I would spend that much $$'s on it myself.
Anyhoo, I used it last weekend, have to say it was pretty easy to use, didn't chew much power, but then I run 2 x 105amp batteries, and made a terrific Machiatto/short black/expresso which is what I tend to drink.

We camp with an old school espresso maker and our favourite beans on the stove.  They tend not to break.

When using these stove top makers, do you fill the mug up with the brew from the cooker, then add milk as normal. Or is it too strong, therefore you put in half coffee from the cooker and top up with hot water etc?

The reason I ask this is it seems you would have to have 2 burners going, one for the coffee cooker, and one for the hot water anyway?

Coffee and milk to taste.  I add no extra water.

Rww the stovetops are specific size for 30ml espresso shots. And are available in single through to 6 shot version's.  You fill them to just above the check valve .

They are pretty pricey at $650. Would love to have a crack at one. Rumour has it they steam milk very well. They are also known as "the little guy" and appear to be based on an atomic.

I always thought you were meant to fill them to just below the valve so that if they do go over pressure they will vent steam,  not boiling water?

Your prolly correct. I just use the valve as a rough guide. Dont make a hell of a lot of difference imo given iam always peeping in the top and when I determine the amount is about right I pour it out.
