Pajero Drivers
« on: February 11, 2015, 09:37:22 AM »
I have only been driving my pajero for a couple of months but have noticed a small shunting movement in the Driver's seat when turning corners. It it's not the seat moving on the rails but a small left/right movement within the seat itself.

Have any other pajero drivers noticed this? My local dealer says it is normal for the seat to do that. I am not so convinced.

HI paul,

I have a 2010 Pajero which i have had from new and there is no movement in any of the seats.
The Pajero 4wd club of Victoria public forum web site may have some answers for you.

Sounds like the standard dealer answer when theres an issue they have to fix FOC or investigate... ???

The sh1+iest thing on my Pajero was the seats. Depending on your size they really don't hang in well.

Hammer your dealer, oh yeah the MMA dealer network was the 2nd sh1+iest thing about owning a Paj.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Yeah the seats in the Paj aren't the best, but I've never had what you're describing Paul.
I'd be interested in hearing what you find out.

Gotts to love the Shit some dealers come up with  ???
Any movement in a seat is deemed unroadworthy in anyone's book. One of the first things checked during a roadworthy test.

I had to email some more details to them today. Hopefully hear from them in the next few days. Although they have a huge recall on their hands now too so they might be busy for a while.

Update on Pajero Owners with Driver's Seat Issues....

MMAL would like to hear from owners who are having trouble with lateral movement in the driver's seat - especially noticeable when cornering.

As many of us are involved in the tensioner recall, this is an ideal opportunity to have your dealer look at the seat and lodge a Dealer Quality Report at the same time.

I have been advised the seat problem is developing as a concern and a fix is likely to be in the next 12 months - provided we get enough people advising MMAL about the issue.

Good luck all, Paul
