I tell ya what Fizzie, I would have bet money, the church was on the other side of the M1 these days.
It would appear, I don't know everything after all..... who would've thunk it.
So many memories of the gold coast, the highway, the trouble we got into and out of.....
In the last 6 months, I've been up and down the M1 a few times now and I hate it.
Half the friggin time, i don't even know where I am in relation to the old days.
When the M1 was being built, we were heading down in our 63 Pontiac sled for the James Dean Memorial Cruise.
Some poor bastard in a big kick arse Caddy hearse was driving it for the first time.
Stuck in the r/h lane and LHD, he had no idea where the car ended and the temporary concrete block wall started.
Anyone remember the Sugar Shack at Fingal in the 90's?
It was the old picture theater turned into the coolest "Sugar Shack"
Run by Baron Von Weirdo. (we still have one of his paintings on the wall)
