Jayco outback swan 2014 and stone guard
« on: January 20, 2015, 08:42:21 PM »
Hi all,

When I got the camper last year I had the stone guard fitted. Now looking back I wish I had of got the extended draw bar but didn't..... Last 2 trips this month I have had to reverse in tight spaces and I have noticed when turning too tight, I have created 2 small dents in the back of the Prado just under the stop lights from the top bar on the stone guard.  :'( Also when the jockey wheel is fitted on the lower level the wheel is fouled by the stone guard......

So I am going to have to remove it....... ??? Has anyone else had this issue? I am thinking of removing and trying to bend both sides back further so it is not as flat and the sides are more angled meaning it won't hit the Prado when reversing in tight situations. This might create problems though with the camper winder which I will need to solve????

Any thoughts?

Cheers
Brett

Sell it and get a stone stomper.
