Engel only? Fridge only, or fridge freezer? Budget?
This one is for sale right here -http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topic=40577.0

Still lots of shops with specials on.

Some people want crazy money for old 2nd hand.

If it has to go in a vehicle or trailer better to know your sizes and decide on a model from that.

still watch for new deals,  i watched and watched this one mob selling some ed40 evakool fridges, they went from $1000 each down to 650 delivered, i was looking for 2 to replace my 60ltr trailblazer i recently sold, and thought for that price for 2 new 40ltr evakools with 5 yr warrenty i couldnt go wrong and got 80ltrs of cooling for less than any other single 60ltr of same quality. so if your not in a rush yes shop around and do your research.

Although I have always owned Engels there was a time that I considered buying Waeco but was swayed by a great deal on a new Engel. With this in mind I don't think the new range of Waecos are in the same league as the Engels anymore, with their new non danfoss compressors you get the feeling they have changed their market strategy. If you do go Waeco, make sure yuo do your homework first, there seems to be so many different ranges and sizes now it would be easy to be misled.

I've just done the same exercise.

Was looking at 40L fridges from Engel and Waeco and in my search I came across this deal from Evakool.

http://www.evakool.com/55-litre-fridgemate-polyethelene-fridge-freezer-228

They are being sold as 'Factory Seconds' but the lass I spoke to at Evakool told me that they were actually new units being discounted because of a change in case colour.

For possibly the most efficient camping fridge/freezer on the market (they don't need a thermal cover) at around the second-hand price of the top line Engels and Waeco's, $799.00 plus delivery, with a 5 year warranty, I thought it was a no-brainer.

I bought one.
