I am always amazed why people do this. What have they got to prove. Is it an ego thing.
Lucky no one was hurt badly.

Biggest issue here is apparently the track was closed at the time.. Maybe he should have read the sign.
Cheers, John.

Why do you drive all the river crossings on he tele when you can go around?

Biggest issue here is apparently the track was closed at the time.. Maybe he should have read the sign.

If he went around a closed sign then yeah silly him.

And like bird said some people like 4wdriving. I do, and I bought my 4wd to 4wd, not drive a forest rd. I enjoy doing both and always plan to take my car home with me, but sometimes crap happens. Sometimes through stupidities, sometimes through bad, heat of the moment decisions, sometimes just complete bad luck, wrong place wrong time.

Shite happens sometimes when your 4WD'ing, he kept rolling backwards across the track which didn't help.  The bloke in the red t-shirt looked like he was laughing when he walked up to the camera.

Yeah, old mate in the red shirt didn't seem too concerned. It was more important to grab his camera.

Needed to make sure that the other guy got the required footage to show every one how hard core they go - yea right.

But it was just bad driving in the end. and that was a very expensive lesson. As is mentioned plenty give Nolan's a try and their cars enjoy the ferry home and there are many more like that. it is part of the adventure after all.

This club goes out a fair bit on these tracks. Its all hard and challenging tracks.   And its not the only one thats rolled. I think good on them. They are all having fun. That's what I brought mine for. Nothing to prove to anyone. Just me getting my heart a pumpen...

some people watch cricket some people go and play....

Yea for sure. No issues with that also. We do the same and sometimes things happen. No one seemed to have been hurt so at the end of the day a well earned beer

Crossed up in ruts, unweighted on the front, it was always going to end in tears trying to reverse. A short forward winch to straighten up was all that was needed.

In the end of the vid, you can hear someone saying, "why didn't he wait for the winch" it also looks like the vid has been edited right at the 26/27 sec mark. So we don't know what has happened or been said in that period either. But he should not of rolled back. The sec his foot came off the brake and left rear climbed the bank it was over.  Bad decisions.

agree Jamie. A high mount or raised vehicle on an angle crossed over the ruts on a hill is an accident waiting to happen. I just hope the poor bugger came out shaken but not stirred.

That Rangie was well setup, a stock vehicle wouldnt get that far up or fair any better if it did - no matter what make it was.

if you have to go that hard at a track.. that is the indicator not to go it.. try spending some more money on crawler gears.. or buy a prado.. would have done it easily
