Motel recommendations for Grafton please?
« on: November 16, 2014, 09:15:28 PM »
Yeah, not camping related   :(

Leaving a wedding late in Q'land in a couple of weeks, and figuring on stopping at Grafton 'round 11-midnight for some shut eye.
All the Motel's the minister's found reviews on have been negative...traffic noise, roach poo on the beds, and other puter offerer stuff   :o
Anyone stayed in a Motel there that they'd recommend please? Not after flash, just sleep, but nice sleep. Will have another 11hr's of travel next morning

We have stayed at the Jacaranda motor lodge.

http://www.jacarandamotorlodge.com.au/

It is conveniently located on the northern side of Grafton on the Highway, not in Grafton itself.

Traffic noise was not an issue.

The Jacaranda would be my choice, you are close to the Hwy but located high enough so the traffic noise is low.  Also you don't have to cross the bridge into town.
