Anyone planning to use monash Sarvo - Dont

A chemical spill has closed the Monash Freeway in both directions.

A Country Fire Authority spokeswoman said five trucks were dealing with an unknown chemical, and were expected to be on the scene for some time.

Victoria Police has advised residents in the area to stay indoors until the hazardous material is dealt with.

Truck fire on the #Monash Fwy outbound near the Ferntree Gully ramp. MFB hope to have incident cleared by 4pm.


Also

Western Ring Rd closed G'borough-bnd at Keilor Park Dve due to 3-truck collision. Heavy delays both directions
