Hope they aren't getting this wind in Wodonga this evening.
Wind starting to howl which we don't need at all. Smoke spreading throughout Wodonga area now.

Dunno, phone reception is crap so haven't heard from him. From what I can work out he is about 1-2 klms south of the main front which is currently heading east.

There was an un-nerving red glow in the sky to the distant east of us last night. Hope all those fighting fires are safe.

Finally got onto him. Favourable winds meant the fire ran parallel to his property. They're ok but still working to clear fire breaks as the fire is still active and a wind change could push it directly into them.

Haven't heard from speewa, he must be out fighting fires or at least making sure they're under control. Here's the latest warning for Vic. Beware the smoke near this one.

Xmas Day 12.30  its off to Creightons Creek to the same game on another day . The fire relit in ground that was supposed to be safe . The choppers hit the ground the trucks couldn't drive on , trucks did asset protection . There were big red trucks & folk in Yellow Jarmies everywhere , Eventually after  the dozer & grader had been at work setting up the earth line for the back burn it was on . Ten trucks went to the top of the range to create the black line to burn back to . Hurry up & wait . big burn then black out & go home . Arrived home at 12.30 am . The party was over when l got there 7 the lights were off .
Saddly that fire will burn till we get 3in of rain on it ,,,in 1 go   .
