Smaller canvas part wall?

Ok so we have been debating for a while some options for a part wall on the camper where the fridge sits under the awning, sometimes we have just put up a piece of shade mat that we carry but the eyelets don't line up size wise on the poles and we have to put up another pole and peg it to the ground.  I will add a pic so you can see the spot that I mean but basically I wonder should we get a piece of canvas made to fit that zips onto the side wall and goes to say the middle pole and pegs down or should we see if someone can cut our front wall and put a zip in both pieces or just find a different shade cloth piece.  What do others do if you have had this trouble?  We don't like to put the whole front wall on as we like to sit and look at the river and not be totally enclosed.

So the section we want to cover is on the left where the kitchen is usually where that gas bottle is sitting we have the engel on the fridge stand, it was not out on this trip but this was the best angle photo I could find. Thanks for any help

What about getting a larger shade cloth section sewn up & sliding into those 2 poles in front??

We have used shade cloth on there before it is just the eyelets don't line up and so we have had to put another pole beside the camper and then have just pegged it to the ground it does ok but a pain to have another pole and rope etc.  One of the reasons I wonder if we should get one made that zips onto the side wall like a canvas one so that we can close that corner in a bit and have it much shadier on the fridge or if shade cloth would be enough.

When we bought our camper we also got them to make up all the annex walls to fully enclose it for those rainy days. While we rarely put up all the walls up,  we always put up the 2 walls around the kitchen to make a L shape. This not only keeps the sun off the fridge/food, but also creates a wind break when preparing/cooking food.

If your planning on keeping the trailer long term, then I believe a proper zipper section is worth the cost.

We always have our kitchen wall on and usually the other side wall but if we put the front wall on then it makes it very enclosed it is only a 9ft tent so not a lot of room in there then. Our only other option is that where we regularly go we angle the trailer a bit differently and put the long wall and the kitchen one this might be an option if we could face the side of the camper to the river as I don't want to sit and look at other camps I want to look at the water

If your side wall zips from the ground, up the end wall and along the roof I would be inclined to just vip it part way then fold over and roll up back as has as you have it zipped up.
You could sew some ties in the appropriate spots on the inside and outside of the wall, to secure the rolled back section.
That would give you the best of both worlds, as well as utilising your existing side wall AND saving on cost, storage, & weight of an additional; 1/2 wall.
I always prefer multiple use to additional stuff.

This was one of the reasons I was considering getting the front wall cut and a zip put into the two sections so that we didn't have to do that.  The other option which we haven't looked at but I only thought of after posting this and is similar to your option is that we have full mesh wall options as well maybe we put the mesh front wall on and roll up the side that is not on the kitchen similar to how you have mentioned.

I have seen some with the small corner section that is what made me think of it. Somerville is too far but would ask some canvas people closer if we decide to go that way
