Yep. CD's are finished.

Does it have a USB input? Memory sticks are FAR more convenient than CD's.

CD player? Didn't the reel to reel make them obsolete? Lol

I can't remeber the last time I picked up a cd.

What's a CD? We have a tape player. We use 30min tapes as its a better quality medium.

Chuck them on a memory stick. You won't regret it.

Why would you want one. They get scratched, warp, fly around the cab.

Should see the reaction I get from my girls when they ask me to put some music on and I pull out a cassette and pop it in.
Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.

i've actually started buying CD's again rather than  digital music. Gives far better sound and music quality for listening at home and enjoying the tunes.
That said...listening to the computer now as I sip beers looking over Lake Mulwala

Agreed, but it's so easy to buy digital music.
Actually, vinyl is still king in this house for the late nite sessions.

Wonder when we can get one of these again!

x3.

At home, I listen to CD's. Much nicer than compressed stuff (CD's are digital btw....), but inconvenient in the car.

Mace, I threw my TT out years ago, but I still have my LP's......dunno why....

Obviously digital music in the form of compressed music on phones, flash drives , hard drives etc are the easiest form of music currently.  However,  if you want better sound (ie no loss in the song quality) then CDs are still superior.  This is an interesting article :http://mobile.pcauthority.com.au/Article.aspx?CIID=396273&type=Feature

^ I couldn't agree more about CDs and sound quality. But that's predictable, given the 15" Tannoys sitting in our living room.

Anyway, the six stacker in SWMBO's car will also play anything - mp3, MP4 ... At whatever compression ratio one is prepared to tolerate ...
