Looking at this model saw off an associate. Has anyone had experience with this model both good or bad?

I have the 350, which I think is about 2 mdls before the 353. The 350 have nearly the same specs as the 353.

Personally, I love my chainsaw. Starts easily every time, plenty of power for the cutting I do. Only reason I would buy another is to buy a bigger Husky! They are a great light saw and easy to use.

If I was voting, mine would be YES, BUY IT!!!!

I'm only using it for camping etc and about the house. But for $180.00 with 18" bar it's a pretty good deal. still has a heap of compression and starts easily. So ticking the boxes I guess. Appreciate the input matey, cheers

Husky 353 is a very good mid range pro saw. It should last the average camper a lifetime if looked after! If the price is right (in fact the price is a steal if the saw is in good cond!) & the saw is in good condition, I'd buy it for sure.

Husky 350 is a nice saw, but entirely different to a 353.

Gen "3" Husky saws have been superseded, the update of the 350 is the 450.

The updated 353 is an awesome saw, the 550XP.

A quick google of the Husqvana website should clarify the differences.

I have a stihl and a mate has a husky. The husky beets the stihl hands down. I like my stihl but if I had a choice now the husky would be my choice.

I've had my husky 350 for over ten years now and it still starts and runs like new. I wouldn't buy anything else. $180 is a bargain.

Which model Husky vs which model Stihl?

Both brands have home owner saws, land owner saws & pro saws, in many different capacities. You have to compare like with like.

Both make great saws :)

I have one of them. Just threw it on the roof tonight infact. Good little saw for collecting firewood along the way.

Saw is working great although the bar is showing signs of wear and the silly bugger was using a blunt chain. May as well chuck on a new bar, chain and front sprocket (they are a consumable anyway)and for the amount of use I'll get out of it it will last forever.

Yep saw them and a bit small for me as I was after something with a bit more grunt and capability. Still a great little saw though!

I've used a MS170 & it is much more saw than I expected for the $$$ It will do pretty much what most campers need of a saw, no probs. It's light, very reliable & if you keep the chain sharp, it'll cut through most branches up to about 40cm no worries (just cut from both sides if the bar is too short)

I sharpen my own chains, but if you aren't keen on doing it, find a good supplier, it's actually cheaper to buy new chains from a good supplier than pay someone to sharpen them.

They're on special till 31st August for $299 with a free Esky.
