Navara D40 VDC Issues
« on: July 20, 2014, 06:55:54 PM »
Hey guys,

I recently posted and got a lot of help so I thought I'd try again with a new problem possibly related to the last.
I've noticed that sometimes as I'm driving, probably every second or third time I go for a drive, the 'VDC Off' and the 'Loss Of Traction' dash lights both come on together. Theres no pattern for when they come on its just random. I haven't noticed anything that this affects. Still seem to be able to put it into 4WD. Pressing the 'VDC Off/On' button does nothing once they have come on. Only way to make them go off is to turn the car off and on again.

Hopefully someone can help!!!

Check all your fuses, in particular the brake lights. This same thing started happening to me after a dodgy trailer plug blew a few fuses when I jackknifed the trailer.
